A priest who thinks he’s not lying by pretending not to remember something is no priest – he’s just an ordinary two-faced lying bastard. In fact, come to think of it, I doubt there can be many of the better kind anywhere …

Exactly. You don’t need a seminary education to have basic humanity and morals. You don’t even need any education or even to be literate. He knew exactly what he was doing and he sure as hell knew it was wrong. As I said, bleach.

I was raised in a Catholic household, priests and nuns coming out my ears. Luckier than many, I escaped it at 21, and am now a devout atheist.

Not really, I’m married to a former alter boy, turned Protestant, turned agnostic and in the last decade he’s been a Pagan. Needless to say, we don’t share the same need for spiritual guidance. 😉
Though I am fully indoctrinated into the Cult of Cats. 😀
